Botanical Gardens Cagliari

Situated in the historic centre, dated 1866, the Botanical Gardens of Cagliari is presented like a small natural paradise covering about 5 hectares of land.
Inside the Botanical Gardens of Cagliari  there are more than 500 families of verified tropical plants, given its favourable climate which consents to an accurate conservation.  In 1966 the new area presented another 150 species of official plants, all prepared according to a certain plan which subdivides them according to the consent therapeutic use.  Also the Botanical Gardens of Cagliari  conserves a rare variety of rubber plant, casuarinas and eucalyptus, found to be used during the Punic-Roman age, as for example cisterns and galleries.
